Dr. Robyn Thomas BDS (Hons), MDSc, FPFA, MRACDS(Endo)
Dr. Robyn Thomas graduated from the University of Sydney in 1980 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and was awarded Honours. She obtained her Masters of Dental Science degree in Endodontics from the University of Sydney in 1986.
Robyn is a foundation member of the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Endodontics (ANZAE) and is a past Secretary/Treasurer. She has also served on the executive of the Australian Society of Endodontology (ASE) in NSW.
Before joining Sydney Endodontists in 1987, Robyn had an appointment as Lecturer at the University of Sydney where she was in charge of the Undergraduate course in Endodontics. She is now a Visiting Lecturer and lectures to the undergraduate students at both Sydney Dental Hospital and Westmead. She has also lectured widely to dentists and presents hands-on workshops on endodontic techniques.
Robyn was consultant Endodontist for the Defence Force at HMAS Kuttabul for nearly 20 years and continues to treat Defence personnel at Sydney Endodontists.
Robyn has published research in age related changes in the root canal anatomy of maxillary first molars in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal.
Keeping up to date with the latest endodontic research is very important to Robyn and she regularly attends continuing professional development seminars. Robyn enjoys helping patients with their endodontic problems and is proud to work in a practice with a commitment to excellence and a strong collegiate ethos. Robyn aims to provide treatment in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Outside of endodontics, Robyn enjoys theatre, travel, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a keen walker, both bush walking and dog-walking.
